Sources & methodology
This calculator estimates drywall labor hours, total cost, and project duration from the wall or ceiling area entered in square feet. Area is converted to square meters (÷ 10.764) and multiplied by a user-supplied trade rate in hours per square meter to produce total labor hours. Cost is then derived by multiplying total hours by an hourly labor rate, and duration in days is calculated by dividing total hours by the product of crew size and working hours per day.
