BuildMetricLab

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2026

BuildMetricLab is operated by Brightscale Labs Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (United Kingdom). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information for visitors located in the United States, including the rights of California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).

What we collect

The Estimator

The Estimator at buildmetriclab.com/estimator is where calculator results become a priced estimate you can print.

There is no account. You build a complete estimate, print it and export it without signing in, because there is nothing to sign in to. Everything you enter — job and section names, the client name and site address, line items and quantities, your prices, and your own business details — is held by your own browser and never reaches us. We collect no personal information from it under the CCPA, so there is nothing for us to sell, share for cross-context behavioral advertising, lose, or be compelled to hand over.

The client names and addresses you type belong to your business, not ours. We never see them, so we cannot contact those people, profile them, or use their details for any purpose of our own.

Your work does not survive clearing your site data, and we cannot restore it: the file you export is the only copy that lasts.

If you accepted analytics, Microsoft Clarity records how the app was used — with everything in the workspace masked, so the contents of your jobs are not in the recording either.

What we do not do

Who processes your data

International data transfer

Because Brightscale Labs Limited operates from the United Kingdom, any voluntary feedback you send may be processed on servers located in the UK or European Economic Area. By contacting us you consent to this transfer. Nothing from the Estimator is transferred anywhere, because nothing from it reaches us. We do not need to transfer the anonymous analytics ping anywhere — there is no personal data inside it.

Your rights under California law (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Your rights under other US state privacy laws

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA), Oregon, Montana, and others as those laws come into effect — generally have access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out rights similar to CCPA. Contact us using the address below to exercise any of them.

How to exercise your rights

Email contact@brightscalelabs.com from the address you would like us to verify against. We respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days as required by California law (extendable by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary, with notice).

Retention

We retain feedback messages only as long as needed to respond and maintain a basic service-quality record (typically 24 months), then delete them. We retain nothing from the Estimator: your estimates are kept by your own browser for as long as you keep them there. The anonymous analytics ping is retained in aggregate form only.

Changes

We may update this policy when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
