This tool estimates total concrete pump line pressure loss in bar using ACI rule-of-thumb factors: approximately 0.3-0.5 bar per 30 m (about 98 ft) of horizontal line at typical flow rates, plus roughly 0.1 bar per metre (about 0.03 bar per ft) of vertical lift, plus approximately 0.5 bar for each 90-degree bend. The horizontal, vertical, and bend contributions are summed to give the estimated total pressure loss, which is compared against a typical trailer pump working pressure of 35 bar. The tool also reports the concrete volume needed to prime the line, calculated from the pipe bore diameter and total line length.
