This calculator estimates the concrete volume required for round cylindrical columns, sonotubes, and piers using the formula V = π × (D/2)² × H × N × (1 + w), where D is the column diameter, H is the height, N is the number of columns, and w is the wastage fraction. Cross-sectional area is derived from the circular geometry, then multiplied by height and column count to produce a total volume, which is converted from cubic feet to cubic yards. The tool is designed for circular cross-sections only; square or rectangular column volumes are not computed.
